Born and raised in Florida.
I have been fishing for a long time. After starting the Reel Life Big O' Fish Camp near Lake Okeechobee, Florida, believe it or not, I never done night fishing on a boat until we started the fish camp, I have done it at a dock with my father years ago, but never on a boat.
I knew that a fish light was essential to catch big fish. The big fish eat smaller baitfish as a normal cycle of life. A fish light would start the cycle by attracting the baitfish, and therefore attracting the big fish.
When I went to the store to pick up a light, I was rudely surprised how expensive they were. When I googled "Fish Lights" the price was even higher... Amazon had lights, but they were tiny. Being an inventor, I decided the only decision was to make my own fish light.
After trial and error, I created an awesome fish light that was durable at 2400 PSI, and much bigger than the average fish light at TWO feet. I named the light the "Reel Life Big O' Light," after our fish camp in Okeechobee.
To make sure the light was tough, I had my wife run over it with our jeep. Man, when I saw that it didn't even flicker, I knew I was on to something GOOD!
I used a 12V jumper box to power the light, the same 12V jumper box, I already had on my boat. However, I had a friend that asked me if I could make one that could plug into a 110V outlet so that he could use at his dock. That was the birth of our Big O' Dock Light, which has a convertible 12V alligator clips and 110V outlet plug.
I was so pleased with this Big O' Lights, I wanted to share my light with the public and here we are...
We make this light right here in Florida by hand. Make sure you pick up one, you will be surprised at the results!
